Canada Geese - Medium Original Watercolour Painting

Before we moved to Ilkley our previous house was under the twice daily flight path of a huge flock of Canada Geese. They are noisy honkers when they are flying, and so I always ran outside to watch them pass over. This pair of geese are painted using watercolours and a technique similar to Chinese painting, I load my brush with colour and carefully place it down to produce each wing feather. The birds eyes and faces are painted in more detail, to add contrast with their wings. This painting has a strong energy between the birds, as their wings are in opposite formations.

This medium piece of artwork is painted using high quality watercolours onto heavy watercolour paper. The paper has a classic cut edge, and would be best displayed with a mount and frame.
