I am an artist living in lovely Ilkley in the UK, half way between the rocks and the river. I have a studio at home that I share with my son, and six little birds. It can be a noisy studio sometimes, and occasionally little bird feet stand on my wet artwork, but it has amazing light and a view of the woods and moors.
I paint landscapes and birds using watercolours, and acrylic inks. Sometimes I mix watercolours and inks in the same piece, which has some interesting effects.
A long time ago I went to art college, but a lot of my work is self taught or born from experimentation with techniques and materials. I enjoy learning how to work with watercolour and ink's natural flowing qualities to create works of art that represent how the landscape looks but also how it feels. My work is somewhat abstract, I don't paint each leaf or every feather, which means every piece is unique.
If you are local to me you can collect artwork from my studio, or take a look at what I'm working on. I have exhibited at Ilkley Art Show, and lots of my work is in the local restaurant Host.
I can deliver my work UK wide, it is posted flat and well protected on its journey to you. I have posted work all the way to Europe before, so if you are further afield please get in touch.
